The first time Joe stepped foot into a Young Life Club in 1970, he was hooked.  The lives of both he and his wife, June, have been woven together with Young Life through various roles they have served in over the years.  Joe met Christ at a Young Life weekend camp in his teenage years, and followed that decision with a six-week mission trip overseas.  After this transforming trip, he made the commitment to be on Student Staff while in his senior year of college at San Jose State University.  Not only did this decision impact his future career, it also would provided him with the opportunity to meet his future wife, June.

 

In 1977, Joe and June were married and Joe took his first full time position with Young Life.  He was trained in San Jose and moved to Salinas to be the Area Director there.  After four years in this position, he moved to Colorado Springs to be the Metro Director, then to Houston to become the Regional Director for the Gulf Coast Region, and next to the Senior Regional Director for the Southern Division.  In 2002, Joe became the Senior Regional Director for Latin America, and in 2006 he moved to Colorado Springs, where he serves today.  Along this journey, God has blessed he and June with three children, Kyle (and his wife, Carly), Caleb, and Kelsey.
