In Their Shoes
Stand. Young Life leaders stand with kids in their world. They stand on the edge of football practice, in school cafeterias, wherever kids are... They understand that simply being "present" in a non-judgmental way is the first step to earning kids' trust and the opportunity to share God's love. Walk. As adults who care deeply about kids, Young Life staff and volunteers walk with high school and middle school kids down the many paths of adolescence. Along the way, leaders demonstrate God's faithfulness by "hanging in" with kids regardless of their choices or trials. Run. Young Life is fun! Leaders understand kids' desire for fun, and they encourage it-- from crazy activities at club to high adventure at camp. We also know that kids desire more than fun, that they yearn to be loved and to feel significant. That's why all that happens in Young Life points kids toward the One who promises the abundant life for which they were created. For more than 10 years in Loudon County leaders have been standing, walking, and running with kids. Blessings, Andy OgleArea Director
