Because Young Life areas are financially supported solely at the local level, donors are vital to Young Life. Without their support, Young Life would not be able to hire and train staff, provide essential administrative support to the area or help send kids to camp.

Mid-Valley Young Life is committed to introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grown in their faith. Young Life also aims to establish and maintain a presence at all high schools and middle schools in the Mid-Valley area.

We accomplish this vision by:

• Strategic and committed prayer
• Partnering with local churches, the adult community, local businesses,  and other ministries
• Building teams of trained leaders around each school
• Going where kids are at, building relationships, and earning the right to be heard in their lives
• Demonstrating that a walk with Christ is, as they say in John 10:10, "Life to the fullest," and communicating the gospel in a way that is revelant to kids who don't know Christ
• Loving and following through with kids regardless of their response to the gospel

The Focus for 2005-2006:

• Build up the adult community to own the Young Life ministry in the Mid-Valley
• Develop a community of college age and adult leaders to reach kids
• Establish a new ministry to middle school students
• Bring a full-time staff person to Albany Young Life
• Continue the excellent relational ministry to local high school students

We believe that in order to reach kids we must go where they go and enter their world. Every week in the Mid-Valley area, Young Life staff and volunteers can be found at school events and practices and at kids' favorite hangouts. In many cases, they are the only adult friends kids have in their lives. Our work could not be done without your support. We are grateful for your gift to Mid-Valley Young Life area # OR36.
