What is Committee?

Each local area has a committee of adults who believes in the mission of Young Life: to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and to help them grow in their faith. You'll find adults from all different backgrounds, careers and churches, including lots of moms and dads who care about kids.

The committee, comprised of parents, Young Life alumni and civic leaders, provides a foundation of financial, administrative and moral support for the local Young Life team.

Ask your area staff person for a local list, and feel free to call these folks with your questions at any time.

Rolling up their sleeves and gettin' at it!

Our local Young Life Committee in North Central Washington is filled with folks who love to roll up their sleeves and use their gifts, talents and relationships to impact the lives of area teens.  They hurt for kids, and want them to know the hope that is found in Jesus Christ.  Being on committee means having fun, engaging in meaningful relationships and making an impact.  If you want to help change the life of a hurting kid, this is where to be!

A Caring Partnership

One of the primary missions for the NCW Young LIfe Committee are leaders--praying for them, encouraging them and supporting them as they enter the lives of teens and get in the trenches with them.  The Committee also provide foundationsl support to staff and take on a number of area roles to free staff to maximize their direct work with teens.  Involvement takes shape in a number of ways:  making meals, serving up hot mini-donuts or providing maintenance on the Young Life House.  It can mean providing strategic guidance and counsel to staff.  Or it can mean putting on dinner banquet fundraisers, golf events or food booths.  Whatever the role they take, NCW Young Life committee members champion Young Life in the area and help more teens meet Christ and grow in their faith.  They are the foundation for ministry success.
