BEYOND ATLANTA - COSTA RICA MISSION PROGRAM

Bienvenidos!
 
Come join us this year for a NW Atlanta Young Life sponsored experience you will never forget! Travel to Costa Rica, serve alongside local Vida Joven (YL in Spanish) staff and volunteers, get a firsthand glimpse of the Vida Joven ministry and encounter Christ in a profound and powerful way that will leave you changed forever!  Many have called our short-term missions program a "landmark spiritual experience".  Join us in the coming year and see why!

Costa Rica Mission Trips 2007

We are offering a Spring Break Mission Trip to Costa Rica this year from our area. 
 
March 3-11, 2007 - Spring Break
 
Steve Clay, YL Staff, Trip Doster, Wyldlife Director, and Ashton Thurmond, YL Staff will lead a group of High School Wyldlife leaders with a willingness to serve to the San Jose area through a partnership with our local Young Life affiliate Vida Joven.  We will serve and interact with the local Young Life community, participate in a Vida Joven club and visit the camp used by Vida Joven called La Cumbre.

  • Our prayer request for these trips is first for safety and second that we all keep our eyes and ears open to the workings of Christ. The international setting provides a fabulous platform, away from the norm, out of our comfort zone, to further our spiritual development.

Our Partners in the Mission

Vida Joven has had a presence Costa Rica since the 1980's.  A Young Life Missionary started the mission speaking no spanish and today the Young Life vision has grown to over eight communities throughout the San Jose area.  The primary funding of the local mission is from the interest earned on the proceeds of the sale of a Young Life oceanfront property in Costa Rica.
