1.  Become a Volunteer Leader:

• Volunteer leaders work directly with high school or middle school students, building friendship with them and sharing their lives.  Our Young Life leaders work with high school students and our WyldLife leaders work with middle school.

2.  Become a Committee member:

• The adult Committee helps behind the scense to ensure a high quality of ministry.  the Committee's roles include publicity, prayer, fundraising, event planning and much more. 

3.  Pray for Young Life:

• We believe that the work of Young Life begins and ends with prayer.  We need dedicated people praying for our work with kids every day

4.  Support Young Life financially:

• It costs money to accomplish our mission.  Your financial gifts help us meet our annual budget, which includes items such as camp scholarships, club and activity expenses, office supplies, leaders training, staff salaries and much more.  You can learn more about our budget and our needs by contacting our office.

5.  Serve on the Golf or Banquet team:

• Our 2 largest community fundraising events are the Golf Tournament and our Banquet.  We need some organized and creative people to make these events spectacular.  Contact our office for more information.

6.  Volunteer Administrative Work:

• Helps us do administrative work in the office.  We can always us help with mailings, data entry and other office tasks. 

7.  Friends of Young Life:

• These volunteers help out with special projects like preparing ofr meals for kids and leaders, helping with the behind the scense at club.  If you want to help, but can only give small chunks of time at once, this is a good place for you.  Call us for information.

Strengthening our Ground:

This school year Young Life is strengthening our current ministry by ensuring that we have "healthy ministers, on healthy teams, doing healthy ministry."  This will act as our model as we recruit and train new leaders to address the growth of Young Life in the Black Hills

Leaders Loved:

This school year our leaders loved kids like never before.  Our 15 adult leaders invested an estimated 4,000 hours into relationships with over 1000 local teenagers.

Kids Came:

In 2007-08 kids came to Young Life club in record numbers.  Over 1500 kids attended Young Life club throughout the year with an average attendance of over 100 kids each week.  We took over 80 leaders and kids to camp this year alone. 

Kids Grew:

Our hope and prayer is that kids will not just come face-to-face with Jesus, but will begin to grow in their relationship with Him as well.  In 2007-08 leaders met with small groups of kids on a weekly basis exploring the truth of God's Word and what it means to live out the Christian life.

In August we are sending 7 high school kids to work for a month with no pay at Camp Castaway where they will learn what it means to give of themselves for others.
