YOUNG LIFE SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY

Young Life has been around for a long time. It started in 1941 in Gainsville, TX and then spread like crazy from there. Now Young Life is in over 2,500 high schools,1,100 middle schools and 54 countries throughout the world.

How long has it been in San Luis County? Well, Young Life has been around for over 60 years but in our County it arrived only 13 years ago. Currently we have two Young Life Clubs up and going. One at Paso Robles High School that started in March of 2005. The other is at San Luis Obispo High which has been going for all 13 years. The ministry has sunk deep roots in the community quickly and has attracted kids from every facet of both high schools.

Our hope is to establish a Club like this one at each of the major high schools and middle schools in San Luis Obispo County. We want to have the opportunity to introduce every single kid to Jesus and give them the opportunity to make a decision concerning him. Young Life is far better caught than taught...So, our hope is that you catch some Young Life while you look around this website and start to get a vision of the incredible work that is happening in our community with teenagers.

Questions? Explore the website or give us a call in our local office and we'd be happy to talk...

The Role of a Young Life Leader

Leaders are committed to being involved with kids' lives -- from supporting them at their sporting events to listening to them talk about what's important to them. Our leaders help kids consider the direction of their lives, and they offer hope for their future.
