Where We Are

Young Life has an active presence in each of these schools in Clark Coutny:

Springfield High School
Kenton Ridge High School
Northeastern High School
Northwestern High School
Tecumseh High School
Shawnee High School
Southeastern High School
Clark Middle School
Schaefer Middle School
Miami View Middle School
South Vienna Middle School

We serve students from each of these schools.  Times and places vary, depending on the kids involved, i.e., club at Tecumseh and Shawnee are at students houses while Northwestern’s club is held at the school itself.  Locations also vary depending on the school district.  Each year, times and locations can change, but Young Life in Springfield reaches around 350 to 400 students in Clark County each week through our Young Life leaders and staff.

Leader Training

By training volunteers to be completely sufficient in running their own Young Life Program – a weekly bible study, a weekly outreach meeting, consistent time building relationships with their students (both Christian and non-Christian) at games or at the school (going to where kids are, not expecting them to come to us) and connecting new believers with a local church, we will be most effective.  If we try to do this work ourselves, we will get very little done.  But, by training and raising up Christ-like volunteers, we can reach more students, in a variety of schools all over the county.  At each of our schools, the gospel is presented by the building of relationships with kids (modeling Christ), through the weekly bible study, weekly outreach meetings and especially time spent in discussion with kids.  At our bible study, we address real issues facing students and use the teaching of Jesus in real and applicable ways.  At our outreach meetings, we present the gospel in a real, relatable way – teaching the basics of Christ.
