Tampa Young Life

Young Life staff and volunteer leaders reach out to teenagers by going to where they are and winning the right to be heard.  Suburban and urban teenagers are given the opportunity to experince the life-changing love of Jesus Christ and discover His plan for their lives through their friendships with Young Life leaders.  We refer to our ministry to high school students as Young Life and our ministry to middle school students as Wyldlife.

Club is a weekly outreach meeting that includes singing, humorous skits and a talk on the Christian faith.  Club encourages positive peer relationships, a sense of belonging and exposure to Jesus Christ.

Campaigners is a weekly small group for teenagers to investigate the Christian faith while receiving emotional support from peers and leaders.  Teeangers learn how to apply biblical values to their lives and are nurtured through personal sharing and accountability.

Young Life Camp provides teenagers opportunities to share high adventure experinces with their leaders while exploring God's plan for their lives.  Teenagers develop life skills to make healthy decisions through topical seminars and role plays.

Servin' It Up introduces teenagers to the critical needs of people in our community through serving them and gives them an opportunity to become eligible for camp scholarships.

The Role of a Young Life Leader

Leaders are committed to being involved with kids' lives -- from supporting them at their sporting events to listening to them talk about what's important to them. Our leaders help kids consider the direction of their lives, and they offer hope for their future.
