Young Life's mission is to introduce young people to Jesus Christ and to help them grow in their faith. Young Life is a non-profit organisation committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people and helping to prepare them for the future.

Young Life staff and volunteers strive to build genuine relationships with young people in order to share the good news of God's love. Young Life is active in more than 50 countries worldwide, reaching as estimated one million teenagers every year.

WHAT WE DO

Contact Work: Young Life is not a building-based ministry - we don't ask kids to come to us. Instead, leaders go to them, wherever they may be. It's a principle modelled by Christ. Contact work is about building relationships and earning the trust and friendship of young people.

Club: Club is a fast-paced hour of fun, games, laughter, singing and experiencing the ludicrous. All of this leads up to hearing a leader share great news about God's love in terms the young people can understand.

Camp: Young Life operates 24 camping properties across the United States and Canada. In the U.K., we use established residential venues where kids spend a week each summer hiking, boating, biking, swimming, climbing through ropes courses, abseiling and having the best week of their lives. At camp they also have plenty of time to spend with friends and leaders from home, experience club every night and take a closer look at how much God loves them.

Campaigners: This is a safe place where young people come to explore more about having a relationship with God. They meet once a week with their leaders in small groups to discuss questions about faith, the Bible, how to live a Christian life and to have a time of prayer and worship.

Church: Young Life is not connected to any particular church, but we believe that church is a very important part of nurturing a relationship with Christ. Our staff and leaders are committed followers of Jesus Christ and come from many denominations, and we encourage young people to become involved in a local church.
