Zionsville Young Life Leaders 2008-2009

ADAM THOMAS
School:  IUPUI

Major:  Pre-med Chemistry

Involvement with Young Life:  4 years

Hobbies:  Skateboarding, video games, hangin’ out, studying (not), watching baseball and football, knitting and baking cakes.

Why I’m a leader:  I want to show high school kids what it’s like to make the turn toward Christ.  I was atheist in high school and had no idea and didn’t care where I was going.  I got involved in Young Life and my life changed tremendously.  I’ve been a Christian now for 4 years and now have a sense of purpose and direction in life and I want high school students to know why!

CALLI DUGGINS
I'm from South Whitley, IN, a VERY small town one county west of Fort Wayne.  As a sophomore Butler student, I'm double majoring in International Studies and Spanish and minoring in Business Administration. I'm hoping that I will work for an international NGO someday.  Right now, more specifically, I'm interested in organizations that focus in the economic development and sustainability of developing countries.  I love art and reading.  I thought about going to art school, but my practical side got the best of me, so I decided on Butler.  This past summer, I worked at the South Whitley library for my 3rd summer for the children's reading program, and so not only do I know the Dewey Decimal system well, I also know which kids authors are "in"...  As for Young Life... I love it!  I wasn't involved in high school, because YL didn't exist in the area where I'm from.  I became involved last year after my RA told me about it.  I love getting to know the kids and seeing them come closer to having a real relationship with Christ.  AND I love sharing in their invaluable experiences they have in camp.  Going to camp was the best thing I did all summer!

JUSTIN LITTLE

I am from Paradise, Indiana.  I go to IUPUI and am not studying one specific thing yet.  I have no idea what I want to do for my occupation later in life.  My favorite things to do are skateboard, play ultimate frisbee, and play bass guitar in my band I Got Shotgun.  I got involved in Young Life my Junior Year of high school, then became a Wyld Life leader my senior year of high school.  Young Life is how Jesus Christ was shown to me.  I am a Young Life leader because it helped me out so much in high school and I want to help out in the lives of high schoolers.  It is also tons o’ fun.

KAYLEE REGULA

Career Goals: I hope to work in hospital pharmacy, possibly pediatric oncology. I would also like to be part of a medical mission team at least once.

Past YL Experience: I started going to YL my sophomore year of high school and continued through my senior year. I went to Windy Gap that summer followed by Wilderness and Work Crew (at Wildhorse Canyon, Antelope, OR). This past summer I was a lifeguard on Summer Staff at TWL..

Hobbies: Walking the Lake Michigan beach, star gazing, catching up with friends, traveling

Why I'm a YL Leader: I loved YL in high school and my experiences greatly impacted my personal relationship with Christ. I love meeting kids, hearing their stories, and sharing life.
